When Northern Pride asked about how Lockdown had effected people I decided to share my story, my life is normally quite a busy one, lots of latish nights working and really never spending much time in the house. All of that changed everyone's lives, I quite enjoyed the break at first there's only so much tidying up and washing you can do, so I started with my planting in the garden with seeds and buying some and rearranging, we even bought some vegetables to grow, potatoes, carrots parsnips sweetcorn, to name a few. I wouldn't say I have green fingers, but I've definitely got an eye for colour and what a weed is now. I've become particularly interested in exotic plants, Cannas and Banana and some small palms, looking at the best feeds and how they survive the winters. There's over 75 containers with some great plants and it's all so lovely. As well as doing all of that, I decided to bake a bit more and faff on in kitchen so to speak. It's currently being used as an office as Keith my other half had and still is furloughed from work. My cheese scones and lemon drizzle have been the most successful and never last that long, I do a mean beef casserole and a potato has never been cooked in so many different ways.! Walking now needs to become my next new hobby and strech fabrics are the way forward.
