Looking back on Wrapped in Plastic, a Twin Peaks-inspired editorial shot in 2021 on the dramatic Blyth coastline, I’m reminded why this shoot remains one of my favourites. Revisiting a concept I had photographed years earlier, I pushed the vision further; exploring the tension between natural beauty and artificial perfection, chaos and control.

Spectrum wasn’t just a club night - it was a visual spectacle of self-expression, queer joy, and conceptual fashion. Shot entirely on film at Zerox on Newcastle’s Quayside, my photography captures the raw energy of LGBTQIA+ nightlife, from glitter-drenched dancers to bold, avant-garde looks. As an event photographer in the North East, I document the moments that make nightlife unforgettable, preserving the vibrancy of queer spaces through the timeless charm of 35mm film.
